Common Treatment Concerns
What is Chiropractic care?
Chiropractic care is the detection, correction and prevention of spinal resrtiction to assist patients reach their maximal potential. The restriction consists of spinal mis-alignment causing nerve irritation which can affect directly and indirectly the normal function of the nervous system. Chiropractors correct these restrictions by adjusting the spine. The adjustment is a gentle push on a specific segment which realigns the spine.
Do I need to see a chiropractor?
Everyone should get their spine checked. 80% of nerve impingements are asymptomatic, which means that it produces no pain. When the pain arises it generally means that the restrictions have been there for a long time.
Do I need a referral from a doctor?
You do not need a referral from a doctor unless you are a Veteran Affairs card holder.
Can Chiropractic Care help children and pregnant women?
Absolutely! Different techniques are utilised for babies, children and pregnant women achieving tremendous results. 50% of women experience significant levels of back pain during pregnancy as their bodies go through physical changes.
Why Chiropractic Care?
Chiropractors realign the spine to ensure that unnecessary pressure is not present allowing the body to function at its optimum. It the spine is unbalanced, the nerve system that it protects is placed under stress and won’t function at 100% capacity. When this stress occurs, structures like ligaments, spinal discs and joints weaken, which in turn alters muscle strength and energies to all parts of the body.
How long will it take?
Pain usually alleviates in a short period of time, but pain is just the last 10% of the problem. Further treatment is generally required to remove the other 90% of the problem. At Bundoora Family Chiropractic Care we understand that your health is crucial so our priority is to get you healthy as soon as possible.
